About the Role:

The Account Manager is responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and courteous support services to clients and agency team members. The essential functions of the position include service to Account Executives and Clients by handling policy inquiries, day-to-day servicing changes, and renewal support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Management

  • Request and process changes to policies.
  • Keep track of the outstanding recommendations, review the clients’ responses and work towards complete compliance with the carrier.
  • Assist clients with premium audits and process upon completion.
  • Address all renewal and mid-term certificates as requested.
  • Accurate invoicing, preparation of finance agreements, basic payment setups and presenting all payment options to the client, per agency guidelines.
  • Address all billing related questions.  

2. Insurance Renewals

  • Request renewal exposures from insured following the renewal workflow.
  • Update renewal applications and statements of value following the renewal workflow.
  • Responsible for the automatic renewal through the entire cycle. 
  • Request renewal quotes and policies from carriers following the renewal workflow. 
  • Prepare proposals, applications, and forms to be signed while collaborating with the Account Executives when needed.
  • Post Bind on New Business and Renewals following workflows.
  • Market and propose quotes for small lines of business.

    3. Team Collaboration

    • Manage and update status of accounts and client activity per agency guidelines in a management system.
    • Utilize the Agency Management System by maintaining proper data – such as attachments, updates, naming, coding, communication with clients, etc.

    Professional Development:

    All Account Managers will have a personal development plan that will be developed with Manager & Account Executive. This includes compliance with continuing education requirements for agent licensing as well as professional designations. Account Managers are expected to keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and stay current.

    Role Requirements:

    • 2+ years of proven track record in the insurance industry.
    • Demonstrate strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Knowledge of Agency Management Systems is a plus.
    • Organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and be efficient with verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must have the ability to work with others and have a high level of problem-solving skills.
